This past week i've been working on crossing off a few more. It's coming down to the last wire and i need to get them all done before Fall rolls around.

The first thing off my list this week is #4 Make a New Flavor of Homemade Ice Cream. I blogged about it a little yesterday, but i decided to try my hand at homemade chocolate ice cream! i found the recipe on Pinterest and decided to give it a try. Here is what it came out looking like... delicious, right?
i made the ice cream a day before the party. Hubby came into the kitchen to give it a test and started complaining when he found out it was chocolate (not too big of a chocolate fan). After giving it a try, or two or three, i couldn't help but ask, "i thought you didn't like chocolate?" He smiled and said it tasted like a Frostie and was enjoying it! i thought it was funny...and it made me feel really great! And...goodbye #4 Make a New Flavor of Homemade Ice Cream.

#13 Create a door hanger with our last name has been in the making for awhile now. it took a lot of steps to create and i finally finished the project the night before the party. i was excited to display it for my guests to see so there was a bit of an incentive to getting it done in time. Here's the finished product:
So....it turned out super long! I guess we have a long name as well, but i was surprised to see that it almost reached the bottom of the door. (By the way, don't mind my dirty door....) i had so much fun creating this and i am happy with the turn-out. i learned a few things for next time (if i do happen to do this again) that i will be changing. Now our door has an "off-season" display and it never has to go naked! Yay for completing #13 Create a door hanger with our last name

The last thing that get crossing off today is # 14 Pool-Side. Little sissy invited me over for some tanning and swimming on Sunday afternoon. i gladly accepted and headed over just after lunch. i wanted to get more pictures of us two in the pool but i was nervous about the whole pool/water/phone thing. So sissy took this picture for me just so i could prove that i completed this and get to cross it off my list.
It was such a great day to relax by the pool. We had fun chatting and catching up on life. It was time well spent! Goodbye #14 Pool-Side.

So here is the updated list:
