So...my earliest childhood memory....
This is a hard one. i asked a bestie today how you're supposed to know if it's your earliest memory? i was wondering how i would be able to prove that it was my earliest memory, or maybe my timing is all messed up. Her answer was smart...she said when people ask this of you you should answer with the first thing that pops into your head. A memory that may not be your earliest, but it's the one that comes to mind when asked for your earliest memory. So...DISCLAIMER!! This may not be my earliest memory but it is the one that i think of when i remember my childhood.
OK...Scratch everything i just said! i came up with a better idea (or at least i think it's better). Instead of writing about one memory, i am in the mood to give a whole bunch of memories in list form!! Here we go!!!
- Riding my rocking horse singing "GASTON" at the top of my lungs
- Always asking when my aunt and uncle were going to have babies - and then when they did always wanting to peek in on little cousin as she slept in her crib
- Playing gymnastics with older sissy and her bestie
- "Choreographing" dances and then preforming them for our family
- Hiding bestie's shoes somewhere in the room so that when it was time for her to go home she got to stay a little longer with little sissy and i while our mom's looked for her "lost items"
- Watching "White Christmas" with mom and dad as we decorated our Christmas tree
- Not liking any of my birthday presents and agreeing with my mom when she told me i should go live with my aunt (LOL i was a stubborn child)
- Playing Barbie's with my bestie in our secret spot at her house (the attic)
- My dad doing our hair in pigtails and thinking he was the only dad in the world that new how to do hair
- Mom giving us girls "trims" for our uncle's wedding and i thought it would be wonderful to purposefully move my head so that she would have to cut my hair short. (dad wouldn't let us cut our hair short)
- Being in "Mouse Choir" and "Adventure Club"
- Going to see "Beauty and the Beast" - the first movie i saw in theaters
i'm sure there are so many other memories i could add to this list. These all bring a smile to my face and i hope they bring smiles to the faces that remember them as well.
My picAday is one my mom scanned and displayed on her FB for my birthday. Thought it was perfect for this "childhood memory" post!
Until next time...ta ta for now!
