Homemade Ice Cream and Fruit Kabobs

This past weekend i planned an "End of Summer Bash" party. i decided that i wanted to throw a Photo Scavenger Hunt! The party turned out great and everyone had a blast! i even used a few things from Pinterest to update my "Trials and Test Run" Tuesday blog post.

The first pin i used was for an actual party-planning advice about photo scavenger hunts.

Here is the list i came up with for the hunt - it was a compilation of several lists i found on the Internet.

After the hunt, everyone came back to my house for some finger-foods and chatting. i decided to try my hand at chocolate homemade ice cream - a recipe i found from this pin:

Pretty close, huh? Looks about the same! i have to say it was delicious. It only has 3 ingredients and tastes like a milkshake! i will be making this again!

The next thing i tried from Pinterest were Fruit Kabobs. There wasn't really a theme for the party (other than Photo Scavenger Hunt) so we went with bright summer colors. Little sissy and i decided to find things on Pinterest that were colorful and found these yummies!

We decided to use a few different fruit then the ones that we found from the pin....but they were delicious! 

So..the culprit? Definitely a WIN this week with the Trial Runs! Everything worked out great and tasted yummy!

I think that pretty much sums up my "Trial Run Tuesday". Didn't get a chance to snap a photo today but there's plenty coming tomorrow!
