Project 12: January

Inspiration comes from...

WITHIN
IF YOU LOOK DEEP INSIDE
YOU WILL FIND MANY GREAT THINGS
THAT ARE AWAITING TO BE SPILLED OUT
INTO THE GREAT UNKNOWN.

**********************************************************************************

It's Friday, and as promised I will finally spill the beans about my new project!

Have you heard of project 52? If not, read about it here and it will give you a bit of an idea about my mini project!

So Project 12 is something that I was inspired to do after reading other blogs and also realizing that I don't have any photos to show for my past few years of life. Okay...that was a little dramatic, but also true! I am such a terrible picture-taker and don't ever remember to snap those great, memorable moments in life. Instead, I realize later that I should have taken pictures because I'm going to regret not being able to relive those moments again.

This is actually quite surprising since my mama is known for her picture-taking skills! Either the apple fell FAR away from the tree, or I just never had to take pictures because my mama was spoiling me rotten and giving me every moment in pictures I could imagine! Either way, I never got in the great habit of snapping photos and decided that NOW is the time to get into that habit and I found the perfect, creative way to do so!

So Project 12 is special in many ways. As you may or may not know, the number 12 has been dear to me and my hubby for a long...long time. It was actually his jersey number first...then became mine as soon as I heard the news because, of course, I wanted to have the same! Ever since then we have had a certain "relationship" with this number. It's ours! So it is only perfect that Project 12 would be the name. 12 is also the number of months in the year...as you already know. So instead of doing Project 52 (which I do plan to do next year) I am doing Project 12 - because it is much easier to catch up on 4 months then it is to catch up to week 18!

So here is my first insert - Project 12:January. My theme for the project is "Inspiration" and the title is "Inspiration comes from..." I have had this passion for creativity and inspiration for a long time and I though it was fitting, and quite perfect, to do my first project with this theme. I took the above picture just last week with the idea in mind that it would represent "Within". I have my list for the project in its entirety and will post my inserts on Fridays. I plan to do one every Friday until I catch up to the current month....then I will only post the remaining inserts on the last Friday of the month.

I hope you enjoy this little project with me and I hope that it only opens more doors of inspiration for myself and all you readers out there!

So my picAday is one from my very own backyard! It captured our lemon tree that is full of giant, juicy, delicious lemons! It also captured my blooming flowers! The calla lilies were planted after they had already blossomed, however, the tiger lily came from a bulb!! I guess my gardening skills aren't too shabby after all!

Spring Time

Until next time...ta ta for now!
