So, here are three pictures. One i'm super proud of and the other two that i really don't like sharing. i'm a little disgusted with what i see. i know, i know...i just had a baby. i've heard that over and over again. But i've had a precious baby, who i love so, so much, and now it is time to get back in the game. i want my body back! i want my clothes back!
The first picture is me at my ideal weight: 140 lbs. The next picture was me at my heaviest. The day baby was born i was at 205 lbs. Yes, i gained way too much weight! That is a whopping 65 lbs. But in my defense i didn't start at my "ideal" weight. i was a little heavier when i got pregnant. My weight gain was c. 60 lbs. Still too much! The third picture was taken one week after baby C was born. i lost a good 15 lbs right away and was around 190 lbs here.
Here i am today:
i've still got a lot of work to do but am currently at 176 lbs. i've lost almost 30 lbs since baby C was born. Granted, a lot of that was baby, water weight, and swelling - but it's progress!
~*~
i started using the "Lost It" app on my iPhone. i have averaged losing 2 lbs every week for the past three weeks (when i started). My goal is to reach my ideal weight by April and to fit into my old size of clothing and buy my bridesmaid dress for little cousins wedding! She's getting married in June but i want to buy the dress with plenty of time for fittings and anything else that needs to be done.
The program that is set-up on my app is losing 1.5 lbs/week. So i'm ahead of the game! My plan is to update my progress as i go and to keep myself motivated/hold myself accountable by blogging about the journey.

Plan: Lose 1.5 lbs/week by eating healthy and exercising.
i plan to exercise at least 3 times a week. baby C and i have been walking in the mornings which i plan to continue doing every day. And when doc gives me the go-ahead i will boost up my activity to some jogging and weight lifting. i also would like to pick-up pilates. i used to do pilates and yoga and loved how i felt. i'd like to do cardio 3 times a week and then pilates/yoga the other 2 days.
When the new year hits (i've got a couple months to heal more) hubby and i are going to start P90X. i have never done anything like this and am excited to do it together! This will definitely kick my butt into gear - at least i hope so!
Weight Goal: 140lbs - numbers don't mean too much to me. Really the goal is to fit back into my old clothing and feel good about myself. Numbers can be deceiving, so this is a target number.

Can't wait to get this going! Looking forward to getting back into shape and being in the best health for baby C!
