So baby can hear us this week! Well, according to our baby apps and the "What to Expect" book it can! Hubby said he would start talking to baby next week...when he knows for sure that baby can hear him - whatever floats his boat!
Me on the other hand have been talking to baby already! i have been reading my devotions out loud, praying out loud for the both of us, and i am in the process of choosing a specific children's book that i will read to baby every night! i love it!
It is crazy that i am sharing this body with someone! This baby is sharing my oxygen, blood, everything! Crazy thing to think about!

i just started reading my new book on labor and delivery. It is a great start to preparing my mind and body for this sacred event that is coming up quicker than i expected! i want it to be beautiful. So many people talk of the birthing process as scary, horrible, and just plain "not fun". But i don't want this. i know it will hurt, but it will also be empowering, special, a moment that i want to cherish. Women should be empowered by this process. After all, if it wasn't for us our world would not exist.
The book gives great birth stories and also tips on how to prepare for labor. It is a great guide to understanding the body and knowing what is to come. i think that by educating myself, and hubby, about this process will benefit us and help us to know what to expect. It will also bring us closer together in preparing and working together to change the mindset that so many people put on birth. i want mine to be different. i want my experience to be a blessing.
If anyone is interested in the book it is called, "Ina May's Guide to Childbirth". i also found a lot of great tips from my "supermom" blogger whom i follow religiously! Her blog is called, "Styleberry" and she is full of great ideas and is super creative!
