A Busy Weekend

This weekend was awesome! Had such a good time with family and friends and was able to get a lot accomplished! i was sad for the weekend to come to an end but know that i must get through this week in order to enjoy this coming weekend...we're going to visit family!

On Friday i got a lot accomplished before heading home after work. i decided to run my errands while i was already out and about (it worked wonderfully . i went to the bank, got all our groceries for the week and for my Halloween Party on Saturday night. i got home a little later than usual but was glad to be home for good and not have lots of other errands to go on.

Sissy-in-law came into to town to visit for the weekend! We got to catch up and spend some time together. i decided to try making my grandma's Lasagna recipe. A couple weeks ago i asked my aunt for several recipes. She gave me quite a few and one of them was the lasagna i decided to make! It turned out super yummy! The bread, on the other hand, was not such a great experience  i followed the directions on the package for "extra crispy crust"...after smelling a burning smell our fire alarm went off. The bread didn't actually catch on fire but was burnt to a crisp....so much for crispy crust?!? Don't ask me how, but it ended up on the floor through the entire process. i was so upset (and the fire alarm was still screaming) and would've cried if anything else went wrong! Luckily, the food was good and everyone ate to their heart's content!

Baby cousin was also staying the weekend with us! She got in later and we decided to all try our hand at "Super Mario Bros". It was so much fun! We got in bed way too late but enjoyed ourselves all too much!

Saturday was spent spending more time together! Hubby's parents were passing through and we met them for breakfast at our favorite spot! It was so nice to see them and catch up for a bit! The afternoon passed by way too quickly and it was time to start getting ready for the party! i was hosting an "Assassin Party" for Halloween and i needed to get everything ready.

The evening was fabulous! Everyone had a great time and the creepy finger-foods were a hit! (Stay tuned for pictures of the food in tomorrow post). We watched a scary movie and ended the night with a little more playing of the Wii. Altogether, it was a great day and a great party!

Sunday came way too fast and i was exhausted from the weekend's activities. i think i spent the whole day doing laundry, watching football, and eating...Before sissy-in-law went home we had to eat Indian food to get our fix! It is delicious! i ended up napping for a bit and felt energized enough to get my homework done and get ready for my week!

And now, here we are. The week has begun and i'm already ready for the weekend! i can't wait to visit family and to get away for a bit!
