i jumped back on the band-wagon of exercise and eating healthy last week. i decided it was time to keep track of what i was eating again and introducing running back into my routine. i'm happy to say that i kept track of my eating all last week and i stayed under my calorie goal! i also ran several times and was able to run a 10 minute mile (a first in a long, long time for me).
After keeping track of my diet i've realized that eating out relaly does a number on your calories-and budget. i've decided to start packing my lunches again and cooking simple, healthy meals for dinner. This is so much easier said than done but i know it's something i need to do!
Yesterday i cooked all 3 meals at home (yes, even breakfast). Today i packed a lunch for myself and made sure hubby had enough to eat in the fridge since he didn't have class till 1pm today. Tonight i'll be cooking dinner for the both of us - i'm thinking something light and fresh.
As i mentioned last Wednesday, i've also been inspired by a budget plan that i read in a Dental Journal that hubby receives monthly. We did talk it over and we're giving it a try! We both think that it might be a real big help to us when it comes to staying within our budget. It will also help us stay on the same page - which is so important! i'm looking forward to tying up all loose ends for this new system and putting it into practice by the end of the week. i'll let you all know how it goes! If it is huge success i'll make sure i let you all in on it and give you more details about how-to's.
