It's 4 o'clock and I'm on a quick break at work and decided to use it to write my post today.
Usually Tuesday's are my "Tickled Pink" days and today I just have to brag about the fact that I've been running a mile, without stopping, for a few days now! This is a big feat for me since my endurance is so terrible! I think this is actually on my "To-Do List". I have been running (okay lets be honest - jogging) with a friend and we are on our 3rd day today - my 4th day.
I can't believe what a difference it makes to fun this little bit. I feel so great after I finish the run and it also motivates me to eat better (since dinner is usually right after the run) and I'm sleeping really well! I was so tired last night and it was nice to crawl into bed and go right to sleep for once.
Something else that I've decided to do, since we're talking about health stuff and all, is cut out caffeine Yes, you read that right! I have actually cut out caffeine completely (okay, minus chocolate) from my diet. I am going on week 4 without it. This is super shocking to anyone who knows me even a little bit. I've lived off coffee and Dr. Pepper forever! I miss the taste but knew that I had an addiction and wanted to conquer it. The headaches lasted only for a day and I was already feeling better on day 2! I actually have felt more awake, more alert, and more energized since I've stopped drinking it! My plan is to actually cut out sugar next month We'll see how that goes?!? I want to be as healthy as I can and really be careful about what I put into my body.
Anyways, this was a little mix of my jogging and health input. I will keep you posted about my progress and we'll see how I feel in a few weeks!
