On this "Tickle Me Pink" Tuesday I am so excited to blog about Christmas Time!
Everywhere I look there are signs of the holidays! I love this time of year and can't wait to participate in all the spectacles and such wonderfulness!
On Friday evening I couldn't wait to get home and decorate my house for Christmas! I began by turning on the Christmas music (which isn't hard to do since it's playing on the radio now), made homemade hot chocolate, and pulled out our two boxes of Christmas decoration from the garage. I trimmed the tree first, then decorate the mantel, complete with two stockings, and finished with putting on our Christmas table cloth and center piece. Oh! I can't forget that I changed out all my pump soaps to holiday smells, switched the wallflowers to a "tis the season" scent, and began burning my Christmas candles! All was well, all was Christmas-y, and all smelled yummy!
On Sunday, I completed my Christmas shopping list and sat down and wrapped all the gifts. The presents are under the tree and I can hardly wait to give them all away!
This Sabbath I'm going to make sugar cookies (in the shapes of Christmas things, of course) and decorate them with colored frosting. I also want to try out a new brownie recipe I found just to add to the goodness of sweets that will be smelling up my home.
To top it all off, next weekend my hubby and I are going to make gingerbread houses with some friends at the beach! It will be a great way to celebrate with loved ones before we head "home" for the holidays to be with family.
Like I said, I love Christmas time! I'm so tickled by all the excitement that this time of year brings!
