This Monday has been an interesting one.
I woke up feeling refreshed, rejuvenated, energized which was very interesting since I tossed and turned the first half of the night. I was freezing and actually had to get up and put on socks and an extra blanket on the bed. I think all the shivering gave me a slight headache and I wound up trying to ignore the pain in order to fall asleep. Anyways, it was a rough night and I'm not sure how I woke up feeling rested.
The day continued to be a fast-paced day at work. As always, when the wind blows we stay inside all day. I'm not quite sure if being cooped up in the classroom all day with 3 and 4 year olds affects the children or the teachers more? I'm still debating over that one.
After work, it took me 50 minutes to drive what should have been an easy 20 minutes home. There was an accident on the freeway and traffic was slowed to a good 10 mph - if moving at all. It was a very tiring drive and I was anxious to get home.
I was home for about 10 minutes when me and my hubby got back into the car and drove to his class' Christmas party. It was fun meeting some of his classmates and we got some free pizza as well!
Now I'm home and was just bombarded with a ton of things still on my to-do list. I'm a little overwhelmed...okay, a lot overwhelmed! I feel like there is not enough time in the day to get everything completed. There is homework to complete, homework to make-up, work to catch up on, and parent letters to be written. I guess this is what happens when I become selfish of my weekends and choose to not do anything work/school related. Instead, I hung-out with my hubby, decorated the house for Christmas, made a yummy breakfast for us, went to church, attended a Christmas party, worked-out, finished all my holiday shopping and wrapping!
I'm now in the mood to bake Christmas goodies, sip homemade hot chocolate, and watch Christmas movies. But now it's on to homework. It's not the weekend anymore so I can't be selfish with my time. Now it's time to get some things done!
Until next time...ta ta for now!
