Last night a few of us girls were able to celebrate my dear friend's birthday! We treated her to dinner (deep-dish pizza @ BJ's - my favorite) and I had little sister bake her famous chocolate-peanut butter cupcakes! We had such a great time celebrating and reminiscing about our friendship over the years! I love those chats...they seem to end up with every sentence beginning with "remember when..." and I just love it!
After finishing dinner we were able to eat-up the delicious cupcakes! One of the girls named the dessert "Sinfully Divine" and they were just that! They were absolutely wonderful! Afterwards, we weren't even in the mood for the free pizookie! They were just that good!
{Speaking of little sister's cupcakes, check out her facebook business page! She is so creative and makes all her desserts from scratch! She also makes up the recipes and just simply has the knack for baking! She's super talented and as the girls said last night, "puts so much love into her baking"!}
On a sad note, turns out two of my bestiees are moving...this makes me so sad. I am such a social butterfly, but only really connect with a few people. Seeing them move is so hard since I count on them for so many things! One of the girls {the Birthday Girl} has been my bestiee since we were 8 & 9. I will miss her terribly! The other girlie has been my bestiee for a couple years now...she is moving far, far away and I'm so sad to see her go!
Through all of this I try to find the silver lining...and I think I've come up with it!
The {Birthday Girl} bestiee may need to downsize on some furniture and her rocking chair will need a new home!!! That means that I can finally get my rocking chair and get to cross something off my list! The other bestiee is moving far, far away so I'm hoping she can be my {far away friend} and my new pen pal! Another thing to cross off my list! I know that there is always positives in life and I just have to search really hard sometimes....these definitely don't out-weigh the negative, but they give me something to be happy about in this sad, sad time. I'm also very happy for these two awesome friends! They are both moving for good reasons and are being very blessed! I love them both and will miss both of them so much!
