It was my first official day of maternity leave and it felt funny not going into work. i've always worked! Even when i didn't have a job i was working on finding one. i'm not one who sits at home and twiddles my thumbs...i have to stay busy and i have to have a goal - or a purpose. My life is run on a schedule and i enjoy sticking to a "to-do" list. This is what my work schedule looked like last week:
Like i said...i like my schedules! So imagine going from that to a blank slate - it is a little nerve racking.
So instead of sitting on my bum all day (which is what i usually do on a day off) i decided to start my new job as a stay-at-home mommy! Now, of course i don't have baby C yet, but i needed to get a lot of things ready for his arrival!
i cleaned my kitchen - top to bottom.
i did a load of laundry - now we have some clean towels!
i organized the nursery - some more. There were things that needs to be put away that i didn't have a place for yet...and now i do!
i decorated for Fall! Got out my pumpkins and candles and my favorite, my new "Bath and Body Works" pump soaps! House smells so yummy!
i decided to spread out my chores throughout the week - something bestie advised me to do! i knew that if i did it all today two things would happen. One, i'd be extremely exhausted. And two, i wouldn't have much to do the rest of the week!
Tomorrow's agenda includes another load of laundry, dusting and vacuuming, and a little more organizing. This time i'll be organizing my space in the office.
i also get to babysit tomorrow! Looking forward to having a precious little girl to look after for a few hours. Excited to get a little practice in. Her momma, a bestie of mine, is going into work for a few hours while. Thought i would lend a hand and break up my productivity with a little playtime! Excited!

i can't believe that baby C will be here in a week! i never thought i'd be counting down the days to his arrival (as in actually knowing the day he will arrive). Life is funny that way!
Here's what baby looks like today - little sissy wanted a picture so i snapped a quick one in between nesting and sent her this...yes, he is huge!!!
Until next time...ta ta for now!
