GO OUT INTO THE WORLD AND EXPERIENCE NEW THINGS.

Yesterday i braved the weather (which turned out nicely) and headed to the San Diego Zoo with my aunt, uncle, and cousins. It was a lot of fun! i am exhausted today, but the exercise was good for me and baby C!
i loved this picture of the momma and baby giraffe eating together. i think this was her baby - the tour guide on the bus said that there were three babies born not too long ago. i think that it is so awesome that this baby was born to a momma that is just about her size. i learned that momma giraffes are preggo for 18months!!! Thank God that i only have 9 months! i know i'll be ready to be done by then.

i want my children to love the outdoors. Not in a crazy "camping/hiking/rock climbing" way (not that those are bad at all, but i'm not so much the outdoorsy type), but in a way where they can appreciate mother nature and what God has given to us.
So many children these days are indoors all the time. They watch TV, play video games, and are kinda lazy. i remember being outside all the time. Playing with my sisters and fiends, swimming when it was hot (and sometimes when it wasn't), bike riding, and going to the beach and the mountains with family. i know that it isn't as safe as it was when i was little, but that's what i'm here for, right? i can sit outside and watch them ride their bike, play in the yard, run through the sprinklers!
i overheard a conversation at the zoo yesterday between and mother and her young son. He was complaining about being at the zoo...maybe he was hot, or tired from walking, but complaining. i suppose i shouldn't jump to conclusions, but it sounded like he would of rather been at home playing on the computer. His mother responded to his complaints by saying, "well, next time we will just leave you at home, but take away the TV, computer, and all your video games first." This only made my "jumping to conclusion" worse and i couldn't help but think about my future boy. i hope that he can appreciate a day at the zoo with his family. i hope that he will like to explore the animals and the bugs, and all the other adventure that the zoo has to offer for little boys.

Well, we are at the end of week 27! Tomorrow starts off with the big 28! Baby C and i have 12 more weeks to go! Seems like a short amount of time for all his growing he has left to do. Praying that God continues to bless us both with energy, health, and happiness!
Until next time...ta ta for now!
