One Hot Summer!!

Feeling much better today! Yesterday was hard...not only was it stressful and frustrating, it was also hot and i was exhausted. Went to bed super early last night!!!

So, i have been trying to be much healthier since my doc appointment on Friday. All it took was her mentioning the dreaded word "c-section" that sent me into health mode. i've been getting up early to ride our stationary bike, eating healthy and cutting sugars, and taking as many walks as i can during the day and in the evening. i don't want this baby getting to big - if i can help it!!

This past weekend was an interesting one. It was so hot and i ended up getting really dehydrated and overheated on Sabbath morning. i found myself sweating and short of breath. i couldn't seem to stop sweating and so i sat on the edge of our bed in front of a fan. The AC was turned on to 78 and was working hard to cool the house down. i had decided to get up that morning and make breakfast, which involved the stove and the oven. i then showered and was getting ready for church when i started to feel hot!! Once i sat down, hubby got out of the shower and asked if i was okay. i wasn't too happy with my overheated body and was looking pretty pathetic.

All of a sudden i felt really dizzy and like i was going to faint. i laid down on the bed and decided that church was not an option for me that day. Hubby spent the next hour giving me water and placing ice packs on my body. He decided that we should turn the AC down a few degrees and now was the time to run up the bill...i agreed!

Interestingly enough, i received an email that day from the many different "mommy sites" that i have signed up for. It was titled "How to Survive Pregnancy in the Hot Summer". i was excited to see what tips they had for me and my misery! What had i not done yet?!?!

Well, turns out the email was completely useless...i should have known! i know that i'm supposed to drink lots of water, and wear appropriate clothing...in fact, i was drinking tons of water that morning and wasn't really wearing anything yet!! HAHA Thank for the tips!!!

So how do i survive this hot summer? i'm not entirely sure how we will get through this, but i do know that we won't be turning the AC off and i will be taking it slow from now on! No more dizzy spells and faintness!

Until next time...ta ta for now!
