White on Cream

Today marks the first Creativity Challenge Tuesday. i am used to taking challenging photos on Monday and finding creative things to do from Pinterest on Tuesday...so why not combing the two? So i did!

i am continuing with my Photo Challenge and will start back up with #5. Shades of White. The above photo was taken with my iPhone with the app "Camera+". i love this app! It has provided me with numerous pictures - that aren't blurry! i know that some of my besties complain about their iPhone photos, but this app is amazing! i recommend it! And since my iPhone will have to do until hubby gets his new camera, i'm glad i at least get great looking photos to hold me over.

So i'm loving the picture up-top! i knew that i wanted to use this background (i love the texture of the wall) and thought it would be perfect for my "Shades of White" challenge. One of my besties decided to wear a white jacket today and i thought, "perfect"! i shot her in front of the textured, magnificent wall and BOOM! got a fabulous photo! Love the white jacket against the cream wall! i'm excited to see what i'll come up with tomorrow! i'm liking this challenge.

Guess what?!? i got a sewing machine for Christmas! Hubby's grandma was the giver - to one very happy receiver (if i may add)! Now...if only one of my besties who new how to sew lived super close to teach me! (i've tagged you in this post so you'll know who you are). i do know the basics and i plan to start by teaching myself some more. Oh how i wish i listened to grandma when she said she would teach me - silly, impatient child who didn't know what she wanted! At least there are oodles of teaching books, tutorials, Internet help, and besties who can lend a hand! i can't wait to learn, and get really good at it, and make beautiful things! i'm sure that sooner than later (hopefully) i will start giving myself projects and showcasing them here! Until then, i will dream about all the fabulous things i want to make and be done...

UPDATE/QUESTION: So last night i completed #1 on my Marriage Monday challenge. i asked hubby "how can i help you" when he said he was hungry (something that i hear all.of.the.time). i promise i feed him well, he just has has the appetite of...who knows what?

Later in the evening i told him about the challenge (just let him know that i was doing it) but didn't tell him what the challenge was for the week. i kind of wanted to keep it a mystery  and also avoid feeling like i had to do it instead of wanting to. Once the cat was out of the bag he wanted to know. He said that he would like to join me in the challenge but he needed to know what to do.

So...question? What do you guys think? Should i keep it a secret from him and let it remain a mystery (i mean he could come and look but i'm not sure he would) or should i let him in on the challenge and we can do it together, for each other? Your input is much appreciated!
