i know the quality isn't the best, but you get the idea...
So i decided to split up the days into thirds. So 8 cards are service cards. An example of this is that i volunteered to cut his hair this week (even though he jumped the gun and cut it over the weekend). Oh well, i'll just tell him to redeem it the next time he needs a haircut. Another 8 cards are filled with Christmas activities. For example, this morning's card asked that tonight we decorate our tree together! The last 8 cards are "why i love my hubby" ones. I have filled them with the many reasons i love him!
So, i'm aware that this only equals 24 cards and we're calling this "25 Days till Christmas"....well, the last day, day 25, is going to be a love letter to hubby along with his Christmas gift from me!
So there you have it. i changed the idea to fit us best. Instead of hanging all the cards up in the house, i'm placing a card every morning on his nightstand and he reads it when he wakes up in the morning! i like the idea of him waking up to them right away.
Not sure if anyone else is doing this, but would love to hear your ideas of the simple things you do for your loved ones for the holidays?
Speaking of simple, my picAday is my next "simplicity" photo. i have to say that this has really helped me tap into my creative side...capturing simplicity is more difficult than i thought! Here's what i came up with today.
