i want to put my "Fall Bucket List" on hold so that i can dedicate my post to her today! i was thinking of posts that i could write about her. i thought about blogging a whole story about her, maybe posting up some old photos, but i thought making a list (i love lists) about my fondest/vivid memories of us together would be better!
So here we go...
The moments i remember most about baby cousin:
- Finding out my aunt was pregnant and that i'd finally get a baby cousin!
- Decorating her nursery (i'm sure i wasn't much help) with clouds and hot-air balloons.
- Going in to watch her sleep - trying to be really quiet so she wouldn't wake up
- Carrying her (while on roller-blades) because she scraped her knees - it ended very badly but i was only trying to comfort her and help her
- Her beautiful red, bouncy curls
- Playing "scavenger hunt"
- Teasing her little sissy (other baby cousin) while she was "doing grandma's hair"
- Watching scary movies
- Playing house
- Dancing to "Butterfly Kisses" and "all Whitney Houston songs
- Making videos - talk shows
- Sleepovers
- Saturday movie nights with Sunday morning donuts
- Doing her hair/make-up for banquets
- Singing with "us girls"
- Family trips
- Friday Family Dinner
- Planning my wedding before i was actually engaged
- Really planning my wedding
- And many, many more great memories!
i know that she's technically a "double-cousin" of mine (look it up) but she is more like a sister to me! i can't for the many more memories that we will create - planning her own wedding one day soon and watching her become the aunt of my own babies. i am so proud of the amazing young woman that she is!
