This weekend was a blast! It was definitely a "welcome Fall" weekend. We had family and friends over for dinner Friday night. i made potato soup which is a Fall favorite of mine! After dinner we chit-chatted a bit and then played some Wii "Super Mario Bros". It was a lot of fun!
On Sabbath morning i felt the urge to clean house! i knew it needed to be done, but my main inspiration was getting it clean for the new Fall decorations i would be putting up the next day. Hubby and i decided to go out for breakfast at our favorite place in town, "Carolyn's Cafe". Here's a picture of my yummy breakfast!

The rest of the day was spent doing one of my favorite Sabbath afternoon activities, reading "Anne of Green Gables". i decided to start reading this series a couple weeks ago and am really enjoying it! It is so nostalgic for me! Around 5ish we had to start getting ready for our "Murder Mystery Party". We had been invited to one by our friends from the Dental school. i have to say i had lots of fun!! i was "Kendall Kennedy", a 'germaphobic' librarian who was an animal rights activist. Hubby was "Robby Charles", a retired candy shop owner who is paranoid of the government. It was fun to see everyone in character and having a good time. i had been asked to provide an appetizer for the evening and came up with this one:

i thought it was a good fit for a Halloween/Murder Mystery Party. i have to give props to hubby on the web! It was all him! i will post our appetizer (this one is from Pinterest) tomorrow for my Pinterest day!
Sunday was spent shopping for Fall decorations with my bestie. We made sure to go to "Hobby Lobby" (which was closed), "Home Goods", "Michael's" and "Target". i got all my decor for Fall and was excited to decorate the house when i got home! Our house now smells and looks "Fall"! i love coming home and enjoying the holiday-ness! i will be posting pics this Wednesday for something off my Fall Bucket List! So stay tuned!
Until next time...ta ta for now!
