Something that i had been lacking.
Something that i just got an extra dose of.
Something that i will continue to have - for awhile at least.
Who ever thought that Hawaii could be so motivating? Me!!! My hubby and i have decided to save up some money (have been saving for awhile) and vacation in Maui next June. He takes is first set of Boards (Dental Exams) in June and we want to celebrate in style. We decided that we should take a trip - somewhere we've never been! i cannot wait for this adventure and have found myself gearing up for this trip in many ways...talk about motivating!
i have now been back on the band-wagon when it comes to eating healthy and exercising. In the last few days i have done at least 30 minutes of cardio and have been really watching what i eat. i want to feel great on those beautiful beaches (and it doesn't hurt to look good in those cute bikinis either).
When it comes to money, Hawaii has been also motivating in the financial department. It's not a cheap travel spot and saving up for it is a must! Knowing about how much we want to save up, and what we want to be able to splurge on when we get there, saving these days is easier and easier. Less eating out, not so much shopping for unnecessary things, and being careful about gas has been something that has come a little easier recently.
i'm sure i'll come up with many other reasons why this vacation will be spectacular but for now knowing that it will be our first time in Hawaii, celebrating hubby's half-way mark through D. school (i knew there were some perks to this D. school business), and our first very big trip together are all great reasons right now!
Speaking of perks...hubby has to (important word = "has") buy a camera for D. school. It "has" to be a super nice one too. So, by default, i get a really nice camera! i have been waiting, wishing, and wanting a super nice camera for some time now and we are finally going to get it. i think it will be a matter of weeks now...i have to say that it's nice to have reasons/excuses to get these super nice things!
So, here's to motivation - eating healthy, exercising, saving mulah, and soon-to-be beautiful memories in pictures with my (i'm mean his) new camera! YAY!
My picAday is of my baby, Tobie. He is staying with us for a few weeks while mom&dad enjoy camp meeting. We went on a really long walk yesterday and i think he's sore from it. He's been laying around all day but he's really happy! Here's how tired he was afterwards. He's so cute! i'm going to miss him when he goes back home!
Until next time...ta ta for now!
