Guinea Pigs and Practice Runs!

I had a very interesting weekend. We got the chance to visit family up North and said good-bye to my hubby's brother. He has signed on to play for a university in Mississippi and is playing football for a school there. He is very excited, but leaving next weekend and we wanted to say good-bye and wish him luck before he left.

Over the weekend we "practiced" a few things. Friday evening we all took a trip to my father-in-law's office and got some dental work done. All of us, just about, were in the chair for some reason or another. It started off with my bro-in-law first. He needed a couple wisdom teeth out before he left fro school. Hubby decided to assist his dad with this small procedure.

Next sissy-in-law ended up in the chair....poor thing! I think hubby tried a few times with some impressions before asking his dad for help. It was hilarious to watch but poor sissy! I'm sure she was happy for her dad to come to the rescue! As you can see, she wasn't a fan of my hubby's hands in her mouth! I guess he needs a little more practice!

He was able to accomplish one job on her! I can't remember what it's called but he completed the task on both her and her boyfriend! Success!

Sissy-in-law decided to take over for a bit. I think she pretty much tortured her boyfriend but had fun playing around with all the tools. She is a future Dental Hygienist - looks good on her, huh?

I didn't get any picture of myself in the chair but I did get some work done as well...just lucky to not have any photo proof of this!

The next day consisted of church and lunch but then another lesson! My bro-in-law's girlfriend is starting nursing school next month and wanted a head start on starting IVs. So...another learning experience began! Hubby volunteered his arm for her practice. Luckily I was voted "not a good candidate" since my veins are small (Thank God!). I was happy to bow out gracefully.

She did a great job! She missed the first time but only because hubby was not a very nice guinea pig and decided he would scream loudly, and scare everyone, when she initially pricked him! So another prick was a must - that's what he gets for being a brat!

She tried on her bro-in-law as well and then her final practice run was on mom-in-law and it was a great success! We saw the blood to prove it!

Like I said, pretty eventful weekend! Can't wait to catch you all up on my Summer Bucket List! See ya'll tomorrow!
