Yesterday we got to enjoy some CPK! I had a gift card and a secret-scratcher that I wanted to use. We had come delicious pizza and were given 2 more secret-scratchers. Hopefully next time we get a big prize! After our yummy pizzas we went home to make some strawberry shortcake! It was just as delicious! I picked up the strawberries at Trader Joe's (my new favorite grocery store) and they were awesome!
Today was interesting...to say the least. Work flew by even though we started a new summer schedule. Our days are longer so that we have Friday's off! I figured the day would drag on and on but it turned out flying by. It probably was due to the thousands (of course I'm exaggerating) errands we had to run for an event our department is putting on tomorrow. We had to go to Costco, the Dollar Tree, Smart and Final, and an Awards and Medallion store for some medals. Our first stop was Mimi's Cafe for lunch and that was an interesting experience. Our waitress was not very friendly, to say the least, and we had a very hard time keeping it together. In one sitting we were cut-off, ignored, told we had asked for bread at the wrong time, and then scorned for not ordering dessert. Like I said - interesting! I really do love Mimi's, but times like this make me think twice about where I'll choose to eat next time.
My picAday is all about purple! There have been so many purple trees (I'm sure they have a much better/proper name) everywhere! They are all over campus, town, the area where I walk...everywhere! They are so pretty and I get so excited when I see them! I had to make this my picAday today! Here's all the purple-ness I found today!
