Welcome, August

August 1st...WOW! I can't believe that it is already August and time keeps flying!

So I did it! We did our photo shoot on Sunday morning for my "Trash the Dress"! I am super excited about the pictures and can't wait to post some of them when they are all edited!

The circumstances were funny and Sunday began, well...not as planned.

Sunday morning, I woke up to a text saying it was raining. It was from my friend who was coming to do my hair/make-up. I really wanted to say "okay, let's take a rain-check" but I know that was the sleepiness talking and not me. So instead I said "What the heck, it's trash the dress, right?"

I jumped in the shower to get ready for the big event, and heard my phone going off with new text messages. It was my friend again who was having a terrible time! Her battery was dead in her car and, after waiting a couple minutes, ended up having to take it to the dealers. So...that left big sister and I to do my hair and make-up all by our lonesomes. Now that was comical!

Some phrases that came about it were:

• "You do your own eye-liner" and I would respond with "oh, great! I hate doing eye-liner."
• "I was planning on doing a poof, but didn't think it would come out this great!"
• "You curl your own eye-lashes, unless you want them all pulled out."

Let's just say that we were 2 very incompetent girls when it comes to hair and make-up and that pretty much sums it up. However, I did have the dress, and she had the camera and we were good to go!

We had so much fun...and 360 pictures later, and a cheeseburger eaten, we called it a photo shoot!
