The first time I watched it I fell in love with the song "Coming Home" that is finally played in its entirety at the very end of the movie. I've had it stuck in my hand ever since...
Home is a very interesting word...they say it's where your heart is. Well, wherever you are, literally, your heart is there also. So, I'm assuming everyone who uses this metaphor/simile (don't get all technical on me - I can't remember which one it is) is not being literal. Now that I'm married (almost 9 months now *woo-hoo*) I've discovered the odd realization that my home should be the house I live in with my hubby, but I still label "home" back in Central Cali with my parents. For instance, this weekend I'm going "home" and I'm not referring to the place I got to every night...
This conversation came up one night between the hubby and me. We were discussing Christmas Break since we both had time off from school/work. In the past, we had always gone "home" for vacation and stayed with our parents for the holidays. Here we were trying to figure out sleeping accommodations and splitting up spending time with our 2 families (we're lucky they only live 30 minutes apart) when it donned on me....we didn't HAVE to spend our whole entire vacation at "home" since it was no longer our home. *LOL* (Sorry if I'm confusing you). Basically, we had this mentality that it was vacation and we needed to be spending it at "home" when we realized that "home" was now our house. I don't know why it fascinated me so much to have such a strange epiphany but it sure did. I still catch myself calling my parent's house "home" and referring to other things in the area as "home" or "back home".
So maybe this is why the song really made an impression on me...or maybe I just like it. Whatever the reason is I wanted to share it with all of you!!! Hope you enjoy it!
