Wacky Wednesdays

So this title is inspiration from my many years of working at my churches' "God's Creation Day Camp". Every week the children get to choose a theme for "Wacky Wednesday" that they get to dress up for that day. There have been many wacky Wednesday's over the years including, wacky hair day, wacky clothes day, dress up/costume day, hat day, and so on.
I was thinking about this name, "Wacky Wednesday", and realized how wacky my Wednesdays usually are. I seem to become more and more exhausted as the week goes on and I find myself not responding to things in my "normal" ways come Wednesday. So, I dedicate my Wednesdays to wacky things from now on. Every week I will explore the wacky things of this world and discuss my ideas and "wacky" theories. *lol*
So, for my first official "Wacky Wednesday" post, I would like to reflect on my recent crazy phases I'm in. I have been obsessed lately with reality TV shows. I'm not sure why they are so fascinating to me but I really enjoy watching them. I can't remember how I got so hooked to these shows but I just can't see to get away from them. My DVR is full of these shows and every night there seems to be another one I get hooked to. Sundays are filled with the Kardashians. Whether it's "Kourtney and Kim take New York", Khloe and Lamar", “Kourtney and Khloe take Miami” or the original, "Keeping up with the Kardashians". Monday is "Dancing with the Stars" (Go Kendra!) followed by the elimination show on Tuesday's. On Wednesday it is my new favorite, "Shedding for the Wedding" (tonight is the finale and I'm so excited). Thursday and Friday tend to be re-runs of "Kendra", and baking shows like "DC Cupcakes" and "Cupcake Wars". I also enjoy watching "Jon and Kate plus 8" on Netflix.
As you can see, I am very fascinated with reality shows. I'm not sure why, but it is so interesting watching other people's "real" lives. I sometimes wonder if my life would be that interesting on TV. Who knows? I don't think I'd want to put myself out there like that but I do think about it.
So what is it with the wonder of watching others? Is it because we tend to all look at each other for guidance? Now that's a scary thought! I would never want my life to be a shadow, or reflection, of these shows I watch during the week, but I watch them anyways.
I don't have an answer for you...I guess this is why it's so "wacky". Now you can ponder this and let me know if you come up with an answer?
