So I've decided to theme my Mondays as "Musical Mondays". This is a perfect idea for me since music is such a big part of my life and I always am showing and telling others about the songs I've heard and love to listen to. Last week I even blogged about the website I'm constantly listening to, www.slacker.com, and how it gets me through my days at the office. My students also love hearing their favorite songs when they are here!
So for my first "Musical Monday" post I want to dedicate it to the best Broadway production WICKED! This was actually one of the things we did over the weekend, took my mom (for an early birthday/Mother's Day gift) to see WICKED. It was my 3rd time seeing it and it only gets better every time! I love going to musicals and can't help but sit in the audience, on the edge of my seat, and dream of being up on stage. It is one of my biggest dreams to be a lead role in a musical and get the opportunity to sing every night!!! It would be amazing! So in honor of the best play ever I want to just show my appreciation and amazement with the song "Defying Gravity". This is my absolute favorite part of the show and is an amazing song. Every time I hear this song I can't help but sing along and wish that I could perform it live. The music is incredible and the lyrics are inspirational. I wish that everyone could go and experience this play, but the following link will have to do for now! I hope you love it just as much as I do!
